Yes, it was reminiscent of Saturday when our early missed chance could have changed the game.
I feel a bit sorry for Nantwich as their second choice keeper clearly wasn't fit at the start (nor was Clayton MacDonald, but they didn't have to pick him!) then got worse, before being replaced by the young lad, who did okay.
From our side, a very competent and professional performance and nice to see the goals shared amongst the team

Another big home win so very well played again, needed as the other top sides all won comfortably tonight. Already looks like Shaw Lane, Stourbridge, Warrington and us will be fighting it out. Keeping up this excellent Home form is going to be important. I note Rushall let in 7 tonight too-want some of them for us on Saturday...

On a separate note good to see the gate nearly 150 more than against Farsley two weeks ago. Hopefully looking at 1000 plus on Saturday with all the marketing that’s been done.

Despite the efforts of tonight's incompetent match officials, we won comfortably without ever quite hitting our very best form.

Shame we blew the 5th consecutive clean sheet, but overall a decent enough showing.

Keep going reds. Parky must be happy tonight and happy we've got them out of the way by early October.

Great result.

Well worth the dash from golf to the game tonight. Another good display from the lads. JJ is a joy to watch. The ref and the lino on the popular side were fkn hopeless the pair of them need a reassessment of their ability to officiate a game of football.

Let the good run continue this Saturday when the Yams yams come to town

I have to say well done PP for sticking with hannigan and hulme early season....both have been immense.

Richman makes a huge difference in midfield.

Shocking officials..cant wait to watch alty tv and see how that goal was offside...

Come on alty we are in it to win it!!

What we want tonight is :

1. Any sort of win. Ugly if necessary, but 3 points at all costs.

2. Mickleover Sports to gain a shock home win against Shaw Lane.

3. Warrington v Lancaster to be a draw. We don't want Lancaster to actually win because they're too close to us for comfort.

4. Ashton United to hit top gear and win at Farsley.

Get ALL of that and we'd be sitting 3rd, and a point behind Shaw Lane and Stourbridge on level games.

Add to that me winning £167m on the Euromillions tonight and giving Alty £10m and it's what I'd call a pretty much perfect night!

1 out of 5 ain't bad and I get another chance at the Euromillions as nobody won it.

So the club is good for 20 million then  ;)

Glad we've got them done and dusted. They like Farsley didn't sit off us.

Hopefully Rushall try and play us or it could a long afternoon of defence against attack

Agreed - could have had double figures.
Another staggering display from the officials - if the 2 home games with Farsley and Nantwich had had Conference National level refs, the visitors would have had at least a couple of red cards each. Perhaps we just need to get used to the level of ineptitude, it's not going to get better is it.

Emotions were a bit mixed last night. Best side won by a country mile and it could have been 7 or 8 but the Nantwich team from last year has been decimated. Its a new team with a limited budget I believe. I hope they will be OK as its a smashing set up with amazing supporters but I do fear for them this season TBH. As a previous post commented "men against boys" .

Of last seasons Nantwich players Alty have three, Southport have two, Stafford have one, Salford have one and the goalkeeper has gone pro somewhere! (But that's non league ).

It looks like the league will be a four horse race this year. Alty, (with a Y) ha,  Shaw Lane, Stourbridge and Warrington. in my opinion.

Does anyone know much about Shaw Lane? I know that they won last seasons Evo North Division but that's about it. Are they potentially going to be yet another sugar daddy team?  SBL

Were Nantwich's smashing supporters all at home watching Dr Foster last night?
