Alty town centre is a joke at the moment; id b surprised if Topmans opening there the missis works for Arcadia and has hered nothing

Just a rumour I heard yesterday,  I was hoping for somthing decent, like a pizza express. Then again why they would want to open oppposite the altrincham interchange, which is a sewer rats dream location that consistantly stinks of piss.

That's the one. i keep telling my friends that they do the finest burgers there. However, as most of them live in or around Glasgow, they are a little disappointed that it is a little bit away!

suppose there's always the one at the retail park, i recently developed this urge for milkshakes after our flurry (pun intended) of Tuesday night games, on the way back here, sometimes they've switched the bloody thing off ! memories of eating my mc nuggets around 10-12 yrs old there and the ronald mc donald train bus thingy upstairs, was that still there ?

I hope Dave Cameron got out before they boarded it up..doesn't seem the fastest walker to me at times.  Has he been seen since?

Dave was safely out of McD's long before the boards went up. But given the alcoholic night we had on Sat he might have been safer staying there. Feel free to ask him how he puts out cigarettes when he smokes after several aftershoks and cheak v's!!

The Prairie Dog was often my Sunday lunch when I lived near the Railway in Hale. Mmmmmm!

I always assocaited Wimpy with people who couldn't afford McDonalds.

Is that unfair?

No, you're quite right.  It was never a problem for my mum to take me to the Wimpy, but McDonalds was strictly birthdays only.  Probably the table service that swung it too...

An insult on my very upbringing! I was a respectable young chap only seen in the most upmarket of eateries!

We never ate off paper with the McScum! And we never had half of Alty trundling past us to go an offload in the bogs!

WIMPY FOREVER!

And the odd spud-u-like!

Beaver..you have stolen my next gag!

I was going to mention Spud U Like as a healthy alternative to Mcd's.

Maybe I was wrong about McDonalds being the upmarket Wimpy.

I once ate in at that chippy near the market.  Now that was posh.

I still pine for a toasted crust in The Drop Inn on Grafton Mall.

Didn't Jenny Heslop used to work there?
