Train to Worcester
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:11:44 PM »

If anyone is thinking of getting the train down to Worcester from the North, then there may be savings to be made by getting yourself to the West Midlands region and then grabbing a West Midlands Day Ranger ticket.

For example, Manchester to Stoke and then Stoke to Worcester comes out at just over £30 rather than the advertised £54 for a walk-on off peak return. You have to come back same day mind...

Obviously, the supporters coach offers even better value for money so get that if you can...

I'm on the train from London on Saturday with a few others and by the magic of group save and network Goldcards we have got £21 day returns from Paddington to Worcester. You have to do your research otherwise the rail companies will rip off the casual traveller.
