The Teasers are getting to Leek as below. Please feel free to jump on the same train.

MANCHESTER PICADILLY TO STOKE ON TRENT RETURN - £10.00

LEAVING AT 10.15AM (ARRIVES 10.48),
RETURNING AT 6.20PM (ARRIVES 18.59).

TAXI FROM STOKE (station) TO LEEK (ground) IS approx £16 (I JUST CALLED THEM).

See you in the pubs.

No too many pubs near stoke train station - got the ember bar (which will open early ) the graduate and the terrace plus a hotel opposite

Plenty of pubs in Hanley town centre which is a quid per person in a taxi from the station

Leek should only cost you about 10 max with the company the uni uses

Very excited for this one....

If you jump out of the train at Macclesfield, you can catch the 108 bus from Macc bus station which drops off right outside Leek's ground.

The 108 from Macc at 12.05pm arrives in Leek at 12.30pm, the next is at 2.15pm which 'should' arrive at 2.40pm. With either of these I'd still have a taxi back-up in mind, as services are few and far between.

The return bus to Macclesfield can be caught outside the garden centre (a stones throw from Leek's ground), but doesn't leave until 6.40pm, arriving in Macc half an hour later. It may be that you can use your taxi tokens after the game instead of the bus, or enjoy an hour of hospitality in the Blues Bar.

In any event, I'd suggest it is far easier to get a bus/taxi from Macclesfield rather than going down to Stoke.

This place sounds like a nightmare to get to. Can't they just switch it to Alty?

we are still going to stoke then to leek by taxi - it is easy and no more expensive really. Also faster journey and more reliable train times.

Plenty of proper boozers in Leek town centre..........that said, it is still the only place I have ever been to in the world that has more antique shops than pubs.
