Is it just me? this seems to be a template used for any report used when Alty have played.

It always seems to go...Alty offered nothing up to the point they scored apart from a shot from Little which hit the post after 5 minutes.....Alty's goal came from their only shot of the game apart from a superb effort from O'neil which was saved well, after twenty minutes Alty had their first venture into our half when a good shot was blocked by the keeper, this was just after Band had gone close from a corner. Alty had no quality apart froma  scissors kick from little and a neat turn and shoot from Thornley and their slick passing in midfield.

It's a bit like apart from the roads, irrigation, mediicine, the fresh water system, public health, the aqueduct and public order...what have the romans ever done for us?

A professional Alty hater if ever there was one!

I recall his one-eyed reports of the late 1970s and early 1980s all too well, including his farcical attempt to exonerate Jeff Forshaw after the latter's 'challenge'/assault on Alex Stepney at Moss Lane in December 1979.

I believe that MTB is still around and watching the Vics.
It may not surprise you to know that he is also, apparently, a Vics shareholder....
