Sponsorship Idea

Hows about we all contribute a £1 when Alty DONT do that f**king awful set piece "move" where we chip the ball somewhere in the vicinity of Lewis who attempts to head the ball across goal. It NEVER works and rarely gets anywhere near. As in the performance on Saturday, it is reflective of a side devoid of ideas.

For me, its time to bin Aspinall. In a game like Saturday, we need to use the ball during the short periods we are in possession and his distribution has been absolutely awful all year. I thought he was terrible again on Saturday.

Im sure I will get bashed for being negative or something but its only cos I love this club and its frustrating as hell.

I'll have you know that it worked against Halifax at home, it was a header from Lewis across goal that set Colin up.

But yes we do need some variation (against Halifax away we managed to fall foul of our own very own routine!).

That was once.
How many millions of times have we tried that?It doesnt really work, and it is a waste of a free kick in a promising position. I remember watching the N******** match, and the free kick we took after Colin had been sent off went the normal way. Out for a goal kick or a poor header into the keepers arms. We should let somebody have a shot.

One might argue that just having a shot shows far less invention than a chipped set piece. If you were watching the Northwich game closely you might actually have noticed that our first goal was the result of a free kick.

You people.

I might also add that in the absence of a world class free kick taker, dead ball shooting probably isn't our greatest strength.

Im pretty sure the goal is a bigger target than Lewis head and thus should be easier to hit !!!!!

Reports that the ball from one of Aspinall's freekicks has been spotted in space may or may not be true...
