I'd start Dawber until the end of the season and tell him in no uncertain terms that he's got to show us he's a retainable asset, otherwise he's gone at the end of the season. We know his weaknesses all too well, but his shot stopping has been consistently decent.
"Playing the kids" and having them get annihilated for a few months will not do them any favours, nor will it do us any good next season as a few of these lads probably have roles to play. I want to see them on rotation, each given their own opportunities to develop and show us that they're capable of being involved in the Glue League.
We've got to be careful with Laurence Taylor here, we could be on to a decent player with him and he reminds me a lot of Anthony Danylyk... But I fear we may end up giving him too much responsibility, too soon. He's not really had a part to play in our demise this season and I don't want him tarred with the same brush by becoming too associated with what will definitely be a horrendous end to the campaign.
It's all good naming these elevens and suggesting formations but the fact is some of these lads can't execute their roles, or carry out simple instructions in a 4-4-2.
