Our first win at Nene Park.

Are we allowed to celebrate....or would that be classed as being "unrealistic" behaviour?

Don't you DARE celebrate!

We're punching above our weight!  ;D

Experience rather than naevity bodes well for Altrincham apparently.

That's good to know.

I@ve got lots of experience as an Alty fan but I'm still naive enough to believe anything can happen where we're concerned!

What a relief to hear that Coburn is not wearing tights (unlike his R & D counterpart)...

Don't care if he's wearing sussies as long as he keeps a clean sheet  :D

When have we been able to put out a subs bench THAT good? Got to bode well, hasn't it?

Me and my bro chose James Smith for man of the match, because he played well for the whole game as Chrissy only woke up in the second half, but he was a close second. Smith has been an unsung hero. I thought we were very sluggish tonight but we had plenty of possession second half, but I feel a point would have been fair, not that I am moaning about the 3 points. We are in need of some tall players. Hey we scored from a corner and guess what.... it was a whipped ball in, about bleeding time. My thoughts during that game was what would my best eleven be with all our players fit. We really need height and strength so I thought

1) Coburn

RWB) Densmore ( having a bad season at the moment )
LWB) Doughty
CB) Young
CB) Welsh
CB) Smith

CM) Lawton
CM) Kierney

LF) Senior/Little
CF) Johnson
RF) Denham

Even though Dale does not score much we definately miss him, Senior looked lost on his own all night. The above team would be good at home, plenty of height and strength. The defence would be nails !!!!

Couldn't disagree with you more. He may be playing out of position (for the benefit of the team) but is a quality player who always tries his best.

I'm bound to say that Accrington doesn't somehow evoke the passionate response that Macc or Vics does in me.
I certainly don't like them and their fans seem to deserve a club like that in the main with some of their actions etc.,

I prefer to just let them slide into oblivion (or not) without taking much notice.
Then again some 18th Century novelist did say that the true opposite of love (i.e. for Alty in this case) is not hate but disinterest and disdain.

I think his elder brother played for Sheff Wednesday for quite a while didn't he? (Peter). I remember reading the programme notes for one Frickley game and, looking through the opposition pen pics noticed that Paul had played for Sheff Wed too. Was very worried that Frickley were getting some great players! He actually WAS excellent and I'm sure played for the Non-League England side a few times (although could be mistaken?)

It's been changed, so I must have been right. Good to know I've still got a few marbles left!  :)

Sol Campbell had trouble with the direct pace and running of Stuart Terry as well.

These days he'd have trouble with the pace of Dame Ellen Terry.

Showing your age there, mate, she's before even MY time  ;D
