Surely you have to look at the Local Authority as well as the club as they will have ti issue the safety certificate. That would surely have requirements regarding stewarding or special measures for bigger fixtures wouldn't it?

The Local authority do set out guidelines but each is different for each club the chairman of the club has a duty of care as well as any safety officer

What a totally brainless thing - 2 stewards !

Shows once again how well run our club is with our volunteer stewards :)

What I can't understand is that we have to have a certain amount which is set by cheshire trading standards but nearly everywhere i have been with Vics this season there are hardly any.
The only games where lots of stewards some /police will be needed are FCUM, Chester and possibly Chorley.
Can't understand why the requirements differ so much, We had 342 last game yet still had 15/20 stewards and there were possibly 5 away fans.

Think in the case above it would have been wise, Will be interesting to see what the FA do.
