Christmas Time......

Askeys a bell end

'We’ve been trying to get Altrincham to change that game to next Tuesday but they don’t seem too keen to help us out on that one. Surprisingly, they’re refusing to move the date', complained the manager. 'It seems crazy when there are dates there to be filled. When these situations have come up in the past the games have had to be played on the closest fixtures that are free. Whoever does the fixtures certainly hasn’t helped us out either.

So we feel a bit like we’re being conspired against, but we’ll use it to spur us on. If people want to put things in our way that’s fine; we’ll just be even more determined to knock them out of the way'".

Of course, if they'd knocked us out of the Trophy, and we'd had a Saturday off in between, they'd be positively falling over themselves to squeeze in an extra match so soon.

The time scale, Mr.Askey, is 6 weeks I believe......

So he not only wants expects us to play them at an inconvenient time for us, but he also wants one of our rejects back on loan...?

Next Tuesday? They want us to play midweek before a trek to Bath for our trophy game?

He's surprised we're not keen?

Tool.

Is there still time for Macclesfield to get relegated?

In theory, yes. But the current bottom four ("We should be beating teams like them") are so poor that next season would seem more viable.

Well, at least Arthur was a successful comedian. This bloke is just a bad joke.

It sounds as if Mr. Askey is still a bit peeved by the Conference's Christmas fixture schedule and now he's wrongly trying to bracket us as one of those trying to conspire against them. I'm not sure if Macc are flavour of the month in Conference circles, but what he has said about us is just plain silly.

Probably wanted money two pay for these two, oh no, everyone plays for free at title chasing macclesfield

Macclesfield Sign Two New Players.

Adeloye and O'Keefe join the club.

The Silkmen are pleased to announce the signing of Stoke U21 forward Tomi Adeloye and former Macclesfield youth team goalkeeper Conor O’Keefe.

O’Keefe made one appearance for Macc in the 2012-13 campaign and it came in the Cheshire Senior Cup second round. He followed this up in the 2013-14 season by coming on as a second half replacement for Richie Branagan in the semi-final of the cup against Northwich Victoria. The goalkeeper has now registered with the club to help strengthen the squad.

John Askey has also managed to bring Adeloye to Macc where he will join up with Alex Grant who is also from the Stoke U21’s. The young forward will bring another attacking threat to the side as the Silkmen aim for promotion into the Football League. Adeloye has previously played for Charlton Athletic and Millwall U18’s before joining Stoke.

Adeloye will wear the number 27 shirt and O’Keefe will wear the number 13 shirt for Macc.

They can't really ask us to go there before the original date anyway, and they rescheduled a home game for the Saturday anyway

Sure we would be happy to go there the Tuesday after (presuming no replay with Bath). We could do with getting it out of the way ourselves as staying in the trophy will result in us having to rearrange quite a few long trips at short notice
