clearly workington did not perform to their best....it's the only logical explanation I can possibly think of for today's freak result...

A dubious penalty and a half-hit deflected shot sealed our fate against a very poor Altrincham side. Where has our fighting qualities of two seasons ago gone, then we would have beaten the likes of Altrincham and Nuneaton last week without breaking sweat. Today we allowed Altrincham to dictate the way the game was played without so much of a wimper, it is a good job they were nearly as bad as us because a more accomplished team would have had the game won before halftime. We are now in a more perilous position in the table than we were before Christmas. as we have played two more matches than our nearest relegation rivals. More performances like today and there can only be one conclusion and that is back to the Unibond.

I think some of them are as deluded as their manager.  If we were poor what would they have made of Hinckley.  They allowed us to dictate play did they? Thanks for that...

More one-eyed than a Peter Falk convention.

Seen a couple of my mates tonight who came to the Eastbourne game, and they said Alty were the worst side they had seen. I replied you hadn't seen Alty in the Unibond League losing to even worse teams!!!

Back to the point though, they have seem to forget we were a league above them last season, therefore on paper we should be a better side than them anyway. And you can only beat what is infront of you, a side which really bar the goal had Stu make 1 save, which won us 2 points.

A bollocks claim by a Workington fan, but in fairness, it wasn't dissimilar from some of the horse sh*t posted on here at times. Every time we lose it's because the players have no passion or the manager is clueless. Or both. Heaven forbid the other team get any credit.
