Title: The club is f**ked from the top down!!
Post by: Mausoleum Alty on January 14, 2017, 08:21:48 PM
Until we get a change at boardroom level we're heading in one direction only. Mr Rowley,Mr Shaw and co need to have a long, hard look at themselves and do what's right for the club!!

Mr Rowley owes us a statement at least to tell us what he plans to do about this mess. He sacked Jim Harvey and replaced him with his mates, claiming that they were our best option to stay up. If anything things have got worse, 5 less games to play and only 1 more point gained. At the AGM, he gave us small hope that he would improve things and then announced a review, which seems to have disappeared. If the Board care about thee Club they need to start showing it.

The major shareholders of the club are disinterested either towards the club totally or towards new people coming in with investment.

The majority shareholders should hang their heads in shame for clinging onto essentially worthless shares that they feel they deserve for past involvement with the club.

Our current predicament is down to nepotism and arrogance .....more pressure should have been put on Lee Sinnot a lot earlier to use the watmore money to strengthen, more effort should have gone in to bringing in investment while we were a conference national club......more ambition should have been shown.......but we have no shareholders breathing down the board's neck telling them this is unacceptable for Altrincham football club....in fact we get told the club is thriving

Sadly the majority shareholding IS essentially the board.....that is the problem.

I know Grahame Rowley as a passionate fan who found himself chairman and major shareholder.....we all recognise the superb off the pitch community work......but the fact the question was posed "what is the purpose of Altrincham football club" was asked shows as directors of the club they don't know the correct direction to go!!!
