Welcome Jake, good luck and sounds a good signing potentially until end of the season.

An absolutely vital acquisition and has got to be better than what we have got.

Hopefully, one of our 'invisible' left backs will re-emerge too.

Happy to see the signing of a much needed centre back, he sounds like a good acquisition .

I have just listened to Rob Esteva being interviewed on radio Alty.

I thought the bloke gave a very good interview.

It is a difficult league we’re in now, hopefully we can get going again starting with Woking on Saturday.

Sounds like he's been really solid with Gateshead and Darlington - and has chipped in with the odd goal too.

Suggests Hannigan is out for a little while and sounds like the end of Digie. Needed addition. Think we need some steel in the mid field though.

A rejuvenated Moult could well be the answer.

Think I would prefer moult over Marriott. Cannot judge anyone on 1 game, especially solihull but he didn't look up to it.

I don't think Marriott is a DM. The problem at the moment is we have Pringle, Osbourne and Marriott going for one position (unless one can play at 10 and I think I'd be getting Kosylo to do that anyway).

I'd like to see us play with Moult, Marriott and Osborne in midfield. I think the balance with the three of them could work but more than anything we have to become harder to beat and I'm not sure we have a midfield two that's strong enough on their own to protect the back four at the moment. It would mean having to sacrifice Hancock but I don't think he's had much impact for a while.

100% agree with this. Also playing a lone striker is proving fruitless.

Yeah, I'm all for this. In fact one of our better performances in this run was at Notts County when we played Furman and Moult, with Porter having more of a creative licence. Marriott and Moult, with Osborne pushing up, could give us a similar platform.

I've actually been impressed with Marriott from what I have seen. I thought he fizzed about the pitch against Wrexham in a Kirbyesque manner and as stated by Alty Bri I think the role he had to play when going down to ten men probably did him a disservice on Saturday. When he came on against Torquay he played much further up and again looked lively.

I'd actually be surprised if that isn't our midfield on Saturday, now I think about it. At their place we went with Moult and Pringle and we got sliced through on numerous occasions.

Similarly I think our best route currently is a 4141 with Jake in front of the defence, two mobile CMs (Marriott and Osborne) with any two of Colclough, Mooney and Kosylo as the wide outlets.
