Ahmed Dean never signed for Bury in the end

Sean Clancy still seems to be without a club

Aaron burns however unrealistic seems to still be unattached.

Burns: "After being released from his Manchester United contract, Burns agreed to play for Afurelding, an Icelandic second division side, throughout the summer while we is weighing up his options."

I know nothing of Ahmed Dean - where does he play?

These players could do worse than choose Alty, even if to get themselves in the shop window.

He was playing at St albans last year, score against us for bury in pre-season.Graham said at the meeting that he'd be a good target man.I might go down to training on a spying mission later and see if there are any unfamilar faces  ;D

Also interestingly, yesterdays article about chester having the following players available
Ashley Westwood, Sean Hessey, Phil Bolland, Dean Bennett and Simon Marples (albeit vaughan mentioned lending the to his mate pacey at droylsden) However if they are no longer in bobby willliamsons plans, could we take a look at a couple of them?,We know Phil Bollands strenghts, and also this guy sounds interesting

The old questions, however;
do they want to go part time?
do they want a (probable) drop in wages?
can we afford them?

Hessey does sound ideal, though.

Well, I'd go for Clancy and Dean IF they were available and willing to come to the club. Southport fans seem to rate left back Clancy and Dean appears to be a big, strong forward - which is sort of what we need. As negative as it may sound, just can't see us progressing without a change or two. Once again, GHs comments imply that one or two of our regulars for five years may be set to leave. Could be an interesting day.

"Aaron Burns is a powerful forward, who is highly effective with his back to goal holding up the ball. But he also possessing the pace to turn and beat a defender."

Isn't that our ideal signing. don't think he will want part time thought.

As the old saying goes, "Beggars can't be choosers". The number of players who want full time football is vastly greater than the number of full time contracts available. Some players will have to get realistic by midnight tonight or they won't be playing much football at all.

Whether they want it or not doesnt matter at 2100 when nobody comes in for them. We can get them through the door and they will want to be in the shop window to get back up as soon as possible. It could work for both parties, I can't see this sort of player being a bench warmer so I think they would work for us.

The risk is that we lose them come january but we arent exactly in a position to avoid that risk with any of our players.

I would go for:

Hessey on loan (doubt he'd sign otherwise)

Plus Burns if we could get him.
