Roman, go and do something worthwhile and check the Droylsden message board.

We can write on here when we like and what we like about who we like.

No go forth and multiply.

That's got me thinking of a new crowd initiative for us - "Spawn a Fan". Yep, if everyone with lead in their pencil commits to spawning a minimum of one child and brings them up as a die-hard Alty fan, our crowds would double within 6-7 years. Offer reduced season ticket prices for those who have a history of twins !!!!!

Just an idea .....

I just think Mr Brownhill's attempt at maintaining relations with Alty by explaining his decision was a big mistake however well intentioned.

I'm sorry I'm not joining you but I'm not good enough and you're going to lose every week.

Still good luck to the lad but maybe like Denham in future he'd be better off keeping quiet and leaving the door open....Denham refused us many times but didn't insult us by saying I chose Droylsden over Alty coz they're a much bigger club and I don't want to join a losing side.

Must say I'm impressed with Denham's determination to succeed at Alty.

this spawn a fan thing

Can we please just think of the implication  ten/eleven years  when the little darlings all start chanting at the same time.(Think england schools internationals)
it'll sound like a bros concert when we score

I wonder what the Gazelle and his school mates sounded like as a bunch of 10 yr olds with their flares and ludicrously long knitted scarves round their wrists?

Surely it'd be just like the '70s?

It's a shame we had no youtube or video sharing devices from them days as I'm sure we'd have many laughable youve been framed moments to while our days over now...instead we only have occasional questionable black and white memories.

My 8yr old is proving difficult to convince but he isn't watching the likes of Ian Morris steaming down the wing or John King decapitating yorkshire men and he has no larger than life peers to encourage him like many of us did.....bloody David tenant has alot to answer for, I mean i liked Dr Who in them days but I had newspaper cuttings of Alty's latest giantkilling on my wall not posters of slitheen.

Fantastic positive comments from Denham there.

Just what we wanted to hear, especially after alot of the negative stuff towards the end of last season.

I am a bit worried that a first practice next Thursday will lead to mayhem for the last few games of the season with the infamous high levels of fertility amongst Alty fans :o

Maybe we should leave it for a few weeks to ensure that any new arrivals do not interfere with Wrexham/Grays/Cambridge & the Play-Offs!! ::)
