What's your view of the Eircomm League? I saw Bohemians beat Sligo Rovers 3-0 just over a month ago & I was quite impressed.Both sides would acquit themselves quite well in BSP & Bohs looked to be League 2 standard.

Well, the top teams who are all full-time professional could easily hold their own in League two and possibly even league one in som cases. We're only really talking about St Pats, Cork City, Derry City, Bohs and Drogheda at the moment. The problem with the Eircom league is a general apathy towards it from all of the armchair supporters over here who will rave on about Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool (include Sunderland now in the fickle list), but wouldn't walk across the road to watch their local team. Only a handful get reasonable support.

When you start talking about the first division though, the standard is not great at all apart from the yoyo clubs. Most of the first division would struggle in the BSP (and maybe even BSN).
