Title: Where the hell is Abbey Hey?
Post by: baldrick on July 08, 2008, 02:47:26 PM: I can't find a website or any information on them. Where is it? Can i get a bus/tram/train from central Manchester?

Post by: joe on July 08, 2008, 02:51:51 PM: It is in Gorton. Lots of buses from Manchester. You can catch any bus that goes along Hyde Rd and get off just after The Waggon and Horses pub. The ground is situated at the bottom of the terraced housing estate behind that pub.

You turn off the Hyde Road opposite Fitness First and MacDonalds.

There is limited parking inside the ground and i'd get there early to make sure you get a space. It won't be there when you come back if you park on one of the nearby streets, 'rough' does not describe the local area, even the cats and dogs walk round it two's to be safe! I remember one year I stopped a ball which was rolling past me, the little lad who's ball it was who could have been no more than 5 years old said "Oi don't fcukin touch my ball you cu*t" :o :o :o

I went to a drive through McDonalds once, but I kept crashing into the tables!
