I remember the late Steve Brundrett telling me at the time that he'd "haddock up to here" with the way we were playing (I seem to think the opponents who were beating us at Moss Lane were the mighty Great Harwood, aka Blackburn Rovers Veterans).

Now yer talking - The great Great Harwood - my hometown team. Bryan Douglas, Ronnie Clayton, Adam Blacklaw, Bob Jones all ex Rovers and a few more.

Mind you we did return the compliment selling them Matt Derbyshire.

I don't recall them beating Altrincham that many times at Moss Lane although I do recall a couple of 5-4's in the F A Cup ?

Shame that they were forced to fold (again !!) a few years ago.

Now I have to watch Alty !
