I was in Alty yesterday, walking along when I had one of those odd memory recall moments.

Years ago (mid 80s I suppose) the newsagents Evening News adverts had the headline 'Keegan Signs for Alty', when you read the story it was GED Keegan, not Kevin.

What I don't know is whether I dreamt all that up, did we sign Ged Keegan, if so did he ever pay in the glorious red and white?

cheers!

No, you didn't imagine that!

We did sign the former City and Oldham Athletic defender/midfielder, Ged Keegan, during the 1984/85 season.

I don't believe that he ever actually recorded a first team appearance for us though....but was just named as an unused substitute on a handful of occasions.
