Didn't someone post that he retired in 2013 through injury? It would be high risk to sign him permanently.
What kind of injury can stop you being a goalkeeper yet allow you to pursue a career as a WWE wrestler?
I did find that a bit bizarre too but assume some time off and bulking up has cleared it up. Editing after I read up a bit, seems like it was a pretty bad knee injury that kept him out too.
Most of our players are part time in that they have other jobs - self employed apart, they will all have employers and they will all take a different view on taking time off to play football
I don't see why working as a professional engineer would be any different to any other job or profession our players have
Most fixtures are not at 'short notice' either - fixture list is out in July and bar postponed games etc they can be arranged with your boss
The luxury of the full timers eh
It doesn't matter what division you are playing in some kind of consistency and stability is important.
We were better than Blythe and Buxton when we played them and we are better than then.
Only the support has got worse!
We could get worse if the backbone of the current squad aren't retained.
