Granted we gained a point against FGR this weekend but to put things into perspective they have just put Mansfield out of FA CUP at Field Mill.

Thats awful.  They have been knocked out by a non league team!  What a scalp for FGR.

Lets take a moment to think of Andrew Perrys face as the goal went in in injury time.  Sad times indeed..

This thread is very depressing.

Away at FGR and away at Bath City.  I've waited years for a cup run like that to the third round.  Winnable games within half an hour of my house....do you know how many teams round here are capable of making it to the national rounds of the cup - usually none.  Away at Bath........

It was Colin Peake of Forest Green who bleated on about 'rules are rules' in order to get us relegated a few years back because we had fielded an unregistered player. Apparently failing to check that a lad you've signed from Accrington Stanley Reserves has international clearance is worthy of an 18 point deduction  ::)

Either way, we all think it was totally out of order and as a consequence despise Colin Peake and Forest Green. Luckily due to other issues we stayed up that season and with Heathcote having had time to plan the last couple of pre-seasons we are now a decent Conference side.

On the club site this morning, there is a piece on Tuesday's game.

Holdsworth says his team "were too nice in midfield".

Forest Green feel they've beaten "a  very good and honest team"
