I must admit I used to like to Goodwin the many witty, intelligent, erudite and thoughtful posts on here, but did not like to Peake anyone.

How about manning up even more and:
1)  Banning swearing, its pathetic, shows a distinct lack of creative use of the English language
2)  Suspending personal abusers for a day or two, as appropriate
3)  Banning repeat offenders?
