To be fair, I'm not sure what other conclusion they can come to from afar. I mean, the best research they could do is to come on here and the consensus would be that,if not uninspiring, the new signings haven't really got us turning cartwheels. The drop off to 17th place due to a small squad combined with second seasons struggles for promoted signs (in the absence of major financial backing) only lends itself to one conclusion - if you're on a supporters forum down South, I'd expect closer analysis from bookies.
I'm not saying I agree just that it's reasonable forecast.
For the record, I think they're over looking the effect even a slight improvement on our record against the bottom third sides will have. We've got some wriggle room there.
Also, not sure why so many just say Reeves goals give Alty a fighting chance, he wasn't just into double figures he was more or less the leagues leading scorer from open play. Teams by and large don't get relegated with scorers like that (Tony Gray at Telford being a statistical oddity of an exception I'd say).
