The Blue Square Manager of the Month for March is predictably Steve bloody Evans (again).

We all know perfectly well that there was only man deserving of that award this month. Three straight wins (four in a row unbeaten) and the only defeat when we were forced to name untried kids on the bench to make up the numbers. And a team who had 1 point from 9 matches climb out of the relegation zone for the first time.

Step forward Ken McKenna - WE all know it should have been you !

To be fair, just checking their results Crawley haven't just won games they've absolutely smashed everyone. I'm just hoping something goes wrong for them because our unbeaten record is in it's gravest danger since we set it in 90/91.

On your McKenna rating Barrow have had an even better month, Kiddy were unbeaten too.

Personally the last thing I'd want Kenny lumbered with right now is the manager of the month curse!

For instance

team A may have got 21/21 points and not conceeded, but could have the worst best team

team B) may have got 10/21 POINT, and have not won in 15 games and be bottom, BUTTHIS MONTH beaten 2nd place team away, beaten a play off team at home and 3 draws against teams in the top half


the award may go to team B...

Great theory, but it doesn't happen in practice. It's like "Goal of the Month". No consideration is given to whether the 35 yard screamer that wins was scored against a tired team down to 9 men, whilst the brilliant 5 man passing move that came second was achieved against the best defence in the League.

I'd rather ken gets manager of the season for taking over a side with one point from7 and finishing 9 points clear of relegation with no money.

A welsh mountian goat could guide crawley to the title with that budget,even if ken does keep us up,manager of the season will go to steve evans.Those who make the choices have no interest in the north west conference clubs,we arent on their radar and are not racey enough by simply turning a profit each year and competing the best we can.The league sponsors had no representitive at southport v sheff wed in the fa cup or at the barrow v alty televised game,yet they followed crawley all over the country.....
