Connors was good for us before he got injured, if a little indisciplined at times.

For me, Steve Connors was one of the bright spots of last year if a little fiery tempered.

He is a conference class midfielder in my book, gets all over the pitch, fierce shot on him and tough tackler.

Shouldn't rise to this but .....

Connors played 11 games for us year of which we won 4 and drew 3.  That form over the whole season would have seen us comfortably in mid-table.
Even allowing for the opposition and the fact that 7 of the 11 games were at home I think you would have to draw the conclusion that we played better with him that without him against opposition that are in theory a level better than the teams we are playing this season.

Good news that he's back. Hopefully he can prove his worth enough to persuade the club to find  money to keep him here (without attracting interest from elsewhere).

He only played 11 games and was my player of the season! The rest must have been really bad or he was imense.
