Altrincham at World Cup
« on: June 25, 2010, 12:15:25 AM »

My Wellington-based colleague reliably informs me that Ryan Nelsen, the New Zealand captain, lives in Altrincham. Which led me to wonder if there are any other Altrincham-based players at the World Cup?

Most players who learn their trade at Leeds turn out to be one of: bone idle fairy never done moaning at the ref (see Kewell, Viduka etc); dirty bastard who makes a living by fouling (Batty, Smith, Mills etc). The thoroughly likeable James Milner is the exception to the rule.

Anyway, does Robinho still have a pad in the Alty area? He's still technically a City player. What about Carrick? Where does he live?

Roque Santa Cruz, Hale

Oh aye, he used to come into Sainsbury's when I worked summers there.

Has to be said, that was one good looking family. Roque with his tall, dark, handsome vibe. His missus, very pretty blonde with big tits. Then they had a really bonny baby too.

Made a change from the munters coming in off the council flats next door with their little gargoyle children.
