As has been said elsewhere, the word used was 'cancelled' rather than 'postponed'. I hope this was accidentally used!

It would seem that they're not yet affilliated to the FA yet and they've gone over the heads of the BSP.

Given that the meetings with Chester took nearly all week I find it laughable that the "resolution" was not suitable to all parties.

Surely it must have occurred to someone to check that the "solution" was agreeable to the FA??

It's just thickness of the highest order!

Cancelled? That would suggest Grays win 3-0 going on previous examples. Where's their gate money though?

i dio not find it lauughable but farcicle that clubs go bust and think they just reinvent themselves. surely it was obvious that no affiliation No means you cannot play. Even the juniors have to prove they are affiliated to play matches in a league.

Willl they get out of this? RRLtd do not appear to be ontop of the situation.

cancelled means cancelled.  as in not postponed.

Reading between the lines of typically naff communications I think that's it for Chester.

I do hope I am wrong.

Just seen this on Devachat:

Statement From The Board of the Football Conference Ltd Regarding Chester City FC (2004) Ltd
The Football Conference has issued the following statement on the situation regarding Chester City FC (2004) Ltd.

“In view of the FA`s decision to review the decision of the Football Conference to grant Chester City FC (2004) Ltd membership of its competition for season 2009/10, the Football Conference has decided that it is in the interest of the integrity of all competitions and indeed the club, to postpone the clubs` first fixture which was to take place against Grays Athletic on Saturday (August 8th). “The Football Conference hopes that this matter will be speedily resolved to enable Chester City to fulfill its fixtures without further disruption to the club and the competition

So, all is not yet lost if this is to be believed.
