Unless the Lane's continue their support, it must be just a matter of time............ -10 points.

full time next season on a budget cut by an unspecified sum or percentage. They must have a clear indication of their financial outlook to state they'll stay full time. Well, time will tell.

Weren't they threatened with legal action in the summer if they pulled out funding? Having previously committed or something or am I getting my wires crossed?
I hope I am.
-
Seem to remember something along those lines. How long do they have to be"legally" committed to supporting the club ? They obviously want out.
-
Bucket collection at the AGM!!!!
All sounds good on the financial front then!!!!

Quite frankly I'm getting sick of this crap from Kiddy.

Murmurs like these just seem to be an annual event these days, that's all.
They still manage to find a miraculous way to finish in and around the playoffs.

Why are you always so hostile?

they have had to sell most of their better players to balance the books, they will not finnish anywhere near the play offs now and as for next season i think remaimimg full time will be suicide, the Lanes have only guranteed funding till the end of this season. Crowds are down by several hundred on last season Bristol Rovers will probably be the only 2,000 plus crowd between now and the end of the season. They would be wise to take a close look at Alty to see how a part time club is run and remains competitive in a proffesional league.

Torquay are in our league and the news has repercussions to those in it. I take it you don't bother reading the OS then as it's just full of crap and every paragraph doesn't contain an Alty based theme.

I just think it's a bit dull all the threads about other clubs owners

Still more interesting than anything you've got to say.

Arsed about you being arsed.
-
Well not arsed about being arsed or not arsed
-
It's probably just best that anyone who isn't arsed about other events at other clubs doesn't click on threads entitled "Kidderminster AGM". There is a very good chance it won't be of interest to them and are best ignored.
People who are interested in reading about some of these basket cases can then do so without interruption or feeling that they have to justify their actions in reading or posting.
Plenty of room for everyone.
-
I do think are fans sometimes take a unhealthy delight at pro non leauge sides who get into financial problems

fair enough Ecky, but these threads should be on your non Altrincham FC talk chatroom shouldn't they?

spot on

I wouldn't say I take any particular "delight" in it, but I do find it of interest. The league we are in is far poorer than I actually thought, and with these teams such as Kidderminster and Torquay losing big benefactors it could have consequences for Alty. The more of a level playing field that comes out of this over the next few years gives us a better chance of competing.

In a perfect world yes but no one goes on there.
Bottom line is that they harm no one, are of interest to some and of no interest to others.
You choose what you want to read, it's really not worth causing a row over.

Incidentally, this league is in much better shape than last time we were here. Yep a couple of ex league clubs that need to get back up (Lincoln, Wrexham, Bristol), and one or two that are ok but like to cry wolf (Macc, Kiddy) but there's no actual basket cases like Salisbury, Weymouth, Vics, Rushden etc etc.
Put it this way, you'd be amazed if the 4th from bottom team got an AGM cup reprieve.

In that sense, yes. Footballing wise I think it's a poor league. Perhaps because clubs aren't spunking 500k a year on budgets?
