Nunny 4 - 0 Alty
-
Nuneaton are terrible too. I'd imagine there'd be several squad changes by Monday. Hopefully a couple of full backs and a ball-winning midfielder, with Cyrus and Hall back fit.
-
No one has any idea if Cyrus and Hall will be available because the club likes to keep it secret.
-
We sneak a 2 1 win ... well one can live in hope ..
-
We've lost on our two previous visits and will doubtless do so again.
-
I'll be happy if we put a shift in and close them down and push for everything
That's all I ask

or Hall got injured on Saturday and it's only Sunday so surprisingly he hasn't been to see a medical specialist, reported back to the club and passed the info on to a press officer to make the situation public on everyone's day off (from volunteering in the case of the press guys I believe). Good grief, give it a rest, Premier League teams don't come out with injury info that fast.

Just to say that Hall went off injured against Chorley last Tuesday.
-
Thank you Cult. Is that still too short a time for his injury to have been assessed Bath?

totally agree
-
I will be worried if it's the same defence as the Gloucester game
-
Nnnuuunnnnyyyy
-
If we lose tommorow we could be adrift by the end of Sept...
Up the reds
-

Don't expect too much with regards to changes in defence and new face just yet after only 24 hours after Gloucester . Silkpurse and pig ears comes to mind

They certainly have made a pig's ear of it so far.

Nuneaton 11/10
Draw 13/5
Alty 9/5
Nuneatons odds have been shortening all morning.
-
And Nuneaton have won 3 home games in ten months
-
Nuneaton 1 - 2 Alty
-
Please, lets just get a point. A bonus would be a clean sheet. I dream of 0 - 0.

Apologies, I was wrong, my factual recall was a bit sh*t due to a combination of it being 12:40 am and me being so annoyed about the incessant vitriolic nonsense being spouted on here on so many threads.

Nuneaton 23/20 with William Hill.
If I was a betting man id say lob as much as you like at it unless we've signed anyone and even if we get a draw you can just recoup your losses on Saturday.
-
lets just hope the team can show a bit of fight, a bit of pride and carryout the jobs given to them by the manager and hopefully we can get some sort of result.
(where have I heard that statement before)?
1-1 Miller
34 travelling fans
I've even managed to coerce my son to come and watch them tonight !!!

my thoughts as well .
Going for 50 away fans bit easier to get to

He has a season ticket for OT, so being brought back down to reality will do him good :D

There'll be more than fifty.

I can't believe we've put Dawber behind a back four of Patterson, Hattersley, Hobson, and the new lad Doherty. And Bassangue on the bench ! Maybe we've released a few without saying anything ? Tonight already looks a lost cause.
-
Heathcote and Goodall both ill. Hall,Cyrus and Hannigan all injured so very few options for Jim to choose from.
-
1-0 down and down to ten men
-
Can we just resign from the league. At this point it seems less painful than this.

Is anywhere still open to get my life savings on >:(

After red card, pen was saved
-
After red card, pen was saved
Well done Dawbs. Quality saving any pen.
-
1-1 a cracker from Miller (good signing)
-
HUZZAH
-
Didn't you could give a pen and a red if you were last man?
Fukking nightmare back 5. Wish it had been a home game.
-
Wish it had been called off like Manchester City game
Can we take a Winter Break yet ?...........need sub-zero temperatures until about March
-
My thoughts too - supposed to be pen and yellow now not red unless it's violent and red on that basis.
Turns out it's still a red:
It is no longer an automatic red card if a player or goalkeeper brings down an opponent while acting as the last line of defence; where a genuine attempt has been made to play the ball, officials will be allowed to give a penalty and only book the offender.
But deliberate fouls - including holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity - will still result in dismissal.
-
2-1 down
-
desperate 3-1
-
desperate 3-1
whatever chance we stood with 11, we stand none with 10
-
Damage limitation exercise. Concede no more. Come home, have a proper think about who plays where and try again on Saturday.
-
4-1.
fecksake. Time for cider.
-
4-1, night
-
central defenders needed urgently
-
H/T Nunny 4 - 1 Alty
I think in my 33 years of supporting this club, this must be the lowest point ever. Disgraceful, injuries and illness aside. Can anyone actually see us winning a league game this season. :( :(
-
This is an absolute joke now. Can things get any worse? Speechless.
-
Shockingly bad.
-

Yes it can
We can concede four more in the second half, find out the injured players are going to be out longer than we expected, find out we have no money to bring in replacements and that Evostick is becoming a distinct possibility for next season
-
Definition of crisis club!
Distraction of fa cup to come!!!!
-
Neil Young needs his coaching badges taking off him if he's 'qualified' to do what he's done to my club.
One man has destroyed us.

He can keep his Tufty Club badge.
-
Can say a lot about NY and poor signings but hes not been on pitch on sat or tonight failing to do the very basics and that includes players who were here last season. Theyve all given up.
-
Unbelievable....we seemed to be better with no manager.
Any other side gets new manager and the team shoots up the league.
I am concerned as hobson and hattersley dont even look like footballers but seem to be first on the team sheet.
How can one man (ny) do so much damage????
Lets have them in for extra training with the cote...
-
How can one man (ny) do so much damage????
And in such a short time. Decimated. It's a proper fecking shambles.
-
having no fit defenders (assuming Patterson is a natural midfielder)that have been at the club for more than one day is not JH's fault and he can't fix it quickly
-
We could put a formal fans request for the youth team to play on sat.
-
Where's Moran?
-
On bench.
-
Triple Substitution. It's all we have left to try tonight.
-
We played with shape and balance under densmore...
I was expecting much more against what are likely to be two of the easier opponents...
Get it fixed jim!!....3-2 v county and 2-2 chorley were acceptable and gave hope....getting dicked by gloucester and nunny is not acceptable.
-
Hard to argue the youth team would do worse...
-
Been checking out our likely opposition for next season in the glue league - some tough looking games.

Turd from top to bottom.

The lights went out... they sure did.

We will feel quite at home with some of those teams, like going back in time to the 60's and 70's!
-
Niether conceded in or lost the 2nd half.
Corner turned.
Please can we get some players back for Saturday
-
So far this season I've listened to the last half hour of a 6-0 defeat, a 5-0 defeat and a 4-1 defeat and felt hugely relieved that it wasn't worse - the results are horrific but they could easily have been worse given the performances and that is what is truly frightening!
-
There was more bite after the substitiutions, Harry Cain was very lively, there was a bit of fight. Get some players back we might move forward a little.
I actually forgot we only had 10 men after the subs
-
We need to move forward a lot ! God forbid Darlington have an off night at Bradford tonight and fail to win, we'll go bottom.
-
At some point we will need to have a go at teams, rather than inviting pressure. This probably means starting the likes of Cain and Miller on opposite flanks and pegging their fullbacks further up the pitch. This in turn will also create the space for Lawrie, which will then free up Reeves to stretch the centre backs.
It's not rocket science.
-
Sounded like we sat to deep. Having 2 strikers behind the midfield tends to invite the opposition on!

I'm not saying that wouldn't have happened anyway, but having a man sent off after 7 minutes did not help.

Whilst by no means ideal, the unfortunate thing is, they weren't the worst players on the pitch.
