What gives him the right to play somewhere else, he chose to go to china for the money (obviously) tough luck and get on with it I say.

I dont see this as any different to those players who play in the USA and join European clubs during their close season.

Both the European transfer window and American transfer window are open at the same time. Ours for the January window and theirs for the close season window. As both transfer windows are open it is possible for the switch. The chinese window is now open but ours is shut.

The two aren't in any way similar and Drogba knew this when he signed. Maybe he should have thought about this before he signed for the money?

There's so many windows open around here it's getting very drafty !

On a more serious note FIFA would become an even bigger laughing stock if they started bending rules to accommodate the requirements of one player or even a 'whiter than white' club like Chelsea.
