FGR Press release......issue to all clubs, leagues, sky news, crappy non league magazines,No10 Downing St and I dare say the queen and the pope:

Text reads:

Forest Green Rovers have snapped up former Manchester United prospect Chris Curran. And thanks to the hard work of football secretary/director Colin Peake, Northern Ireland under-19 international striker [was] available for Saturday`s game having just flown back from playing an international in Malta. With the Northern Ireland team returning home, the plane was met in Birmingham where Curran signed papers before joining the rest of the Forest Green team waiting in the coach in a service station in Walsall. Curran has just been released by United and therefore was available, but unfortunately his agent had already processed an international clearance for him to play in the Scottish Premier Division. Again Peake came to the rescue, getting the international clearance transferred to England and also obtain[ing] the relative paperwork completed and agreed with the Football Conference. All this whilst travelling north in the team coach!".

Yours sincerely
Colin Peake
FGR secretary/director and master of the universe.

Wouldn't it just be so sweet if it later transpires the conference's fax machine broke down for this?

Favouritism, pulling a few strings and conflict of interests.

Would he do this for any other team?
