Title: Non leaguers at old trafford tonight.

A lot of the united community coaches stand in the area in front of the dug outs. Whenever there's a sub you'll see then, blokes in black united coats. In front of the home bench, at the back next to the white home team sign is a big oldisi looking bloke in a black hat. It's Dave Ryan, ex vics keeper for you young uns.

Ha!  Remember that when that was chanted at Mr Ryan each time we played Vics he then invariably went on to play a blinder !!  You'll also often see Rod Thornley stood near Dave Ryan as well.

Dave Ryan used to come & watch Alty while he was still playing for Vics.

I remember standing next to him in the Golf road a few times in the mid eighties.

Dave Ryan has been discussed in pretty glowing terms on here before.  For a Vic & a man who always played a blinder against us he is held in high regard and I think some affection for going on the Golf Road.
