Another dream millionaire owner project goes wrong?

Surely soon football must run out of these people...

Is that why they've put up under 16 season tickets up so much?

You would think so.

Putting a load of cash in is quite a nice idea if you're the only one doing it, you only have to pay 10% more than anyone else and you'll probably do quite well.

The problem is in any division there are five or six of these people, only two of them at the most can be successful but four or five of them have ended up spending loads of cash just to compete with the other dreamers spending loads of cash yet end up with nothing.

My pop-psychology explanation is that these people have made money and have put their success down to being a good businessman. This is probably true but they are not quite as good as they think and they will have discounted the effect that luck has had on their previous successes. In short they are over-confident, they think because they have made things work in the past they will make this work.

When you get four or five over-confident people going after the same thing some are going to lose out and they won't like it.

As long as they've got one of the most respected and astute CEOs in the country working for them, they should be absolutely fine:
