Trouble at York
« on: July 17, 2010, 11:05:20 PM »

fFrom the BBC website.
 York violence closes city square

Police in riot gear close off a square in York after violence erupts among football fans.
Sounds like it was Hull fans.
Bit sad at a pre season friendly and a big club showing a small club how great they are, very sad lot indeed

I've read about this from a very reliable source and it was definitely nothing to do with York City, that's for sure.

I can't get inside the heads of these idiots at the best of times, but causing trouble before friendly matches? Utter, utter nutters!

Causing trouble at any game is absolutely not on ... Whats the point FFS

My misses goes to games with me and I know for a fact if she witnessed that crap close up she wouldnt go anymore...

They should make these bastards report to the police stations everytime there so called team have a game. Then parade the bastards at half just to show everyone what a knob they are.

Looking forward to Grimsby then after their behaviour at the end of last season!

I'm slightly nervous about going to Luton in August, they don't exactly have an unblemished reputation!!

Does anyone know what action was taken against them after the play off semi final there last season?

There will be no trouble at all against Alty.

The playoff was a very high pressure game...and most of the time this trouble occurs between like minded fans.

One thing we do pretty well at Alty (99% of the time) is not sing stupid songs like "1-0 to the Altrincham" and rile people who are much better at fighting than we are.

After we drew there in April their fans were shaking our hands outside the ground and wishing us luck.

There will be no trouble at all; like Ecky says, if our fans behave well we'll be treated kindly at most grounds.

We should have taken the late, great Frank's ideas for non-controversial chants

'0-0 to the Altrincham' (which you have to get in early before the opposition score) and

'You're going home in an organised football coach'.

But it would be nice to be in a position to sing that song at around 93 minutes on day one !
