Cup draw script
« on: October 21, 2012, 01:05:45 PM »

The people who voiceover the draw cannot help themselves but tell you a few useless facts about the teams in the hat; you know "coventry-unlikely winners in 1987", etc etc

What will they tell us about Alty ?...........my guess is they will inform us that Lee Sinnott played in the '84 final

Apparently AFC Wimbledon won the FA Cup in 1988, 14 years before they were formed.

That was part of the peace deal? with MK Dons. They agreed to transfer all Wimbledon's title and honours over to AFCW.

I was delighted to hear him say that. A club is about the fans at the end of the day. MK Dons have no right to talk about Wimbledon's successes.

MK Dons have no right to be in the football league. Full Stop.

MK Dons should not have a place in the league, they are not recognised as a true club by most right thinking fans. Less so these days due to the level AFCW have reached, but years ago it was not unusual for coachloads of fans supporting teams playing at MK to turn up at Kingsmeadow and watch the Wimbledon game instead. Brighton brought loads one season when they were at the risk of similar sh1t.

Franchise football should never have been allowed and must never happen again.

Who won it in 1988 then Jimmy, MK Dons was it, behave and think if we had been dragged away to some dead new town 70 miles from Alty, would we be the same team then?

Don't agree with the likes of FCUM but if any club has a right to reform then they do, and good look to them, karma has them back in the league so quickly.

Added edit, should we have been so unlucky as being drawn away at MK I wouldn't have gone near. That would've been the worst draw of the round for me.

The now defunct Wimbledon FC.
