Farsley Weakening???
« on: February 21, 2008, 06:30:57 PM »

First more in the news today linking damien reeves with a move to Port Vale

http://www.thewonderofyou.co.uk/news/Sinnott--I-can-work-with-League-Two-budget.aspx

And It looks from initial reports that the lad they've got from leeds isnt extending his loan, that may change you never know

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/7253104.stm

And THREE are being shipped out on loan to BPA Simeon Bambrook,Roy Stammer and Gareth Grant, which will no doubt go towards funding Jimmy Crankies £750 a week

BPA have this week signed them three and Robbie Talbot and Gareth Morris from droylsden so far, some money being thrown around at BPA this year!!!!.

Well Reeves will have to stay till the end of the season, seen as though the transfer window is closed.
Gardner is useful but runs out of energy too quickly, and has to be substituted early in most games.
Grant is awful.
Bambrook is past it, was great for us last season though.
Stamer has never been the same since he injured his ligaments in his ankle a year and a half ago, however he can come up with something special every so often.
No major loss.

So you've sent three of your longest serving - thus equalling best paid, players to BPA to pay Mcnivens £750 a week then? Hell of a gamble

Can reeves not go on loan to port vale until the summer?

Well Grant supposedly was on a fair crack, but is simply awful.
I don't mind that him and Bambrook have left, but I'm a big fan on Stamer.
I doubt Reeves will leave, if i'm been honest, he's really not good enough.
This McNiven guy better be good!

Can go on loan and then sign fully at the end of the season.

Then, if he is on a contract, wouldn't you get the money for him before Vale realise this?

Is that release 3 to pay for one?

How are they gonna pay for 12 full time players?...have they got 36 part timers to release?

Celtic deny loan signings

Farsley Celtic were left bemused by reports that three of their players had been signed on loan by Bradford Park Avenue and categorically refuted any such moves had taken place.

Farsley's matchday secretary Alan Hirst, a former Avenue employee, is part of the team that deals with administration at Throstle Nest and he said: "Two of the players mentioned are in our squad for tomorrow's game at Exeter City so they would have be pretty light on their feet to get from Exeter in time to be involved at any stage for Avenue at Horsfall Stadium."

The speculation appears to have begun on a fans message board but Farsley say there is absolutely no truth in the rumours. Former City striker Gareth Grant, Simeon Bambrook and Roy Stamer were the Celts linked with loan moves to Avenue.

"Simeon and Roy are in the squad of 16 for the game at Exeter, as they have been whenever they have been fit and free from suspension all season long.

"We are not going to allow players of their calibre to go out on loan when we are fighting to maintain our status in the Blue Square Premier League," added Hirst.
