If anything, the shirt pull was even more blatant. What a pity the referee was too far behind the play to see it.

Phil

You'd expect that Assistant to give this decision to be fair as it was on his side in an area where you really wouldn't be going as a Referee running outside rights

Sorry Phil,
Just so annoyed.
Damion told me what he felt in his back.
The vidio evedence I am told, and what I saw, it was a clear cut pen >:(

I am absolutely pig sick with the standard of the refs at this level...it is ruining games. Every week the outcome of a game is heavily influenced by poor standards of refereeing.

However someone who wasn't a ref, or who didnt even play football, would have known that Reeves was stood up one minute about to head it in when a man arrived and flattened him.

It was so much a penalty it was weird how he could have thought of a reason not to give it...

This. One minute Reeves was gearing it up to head it in, the next the ball was out of play iwth neither player having touched it. Did he think Reevesy was waiting to control it first? Terrible. I think the only reason he didn;t give it was he was wooried that he'd have to send the player off to.

The incident after was a tug initially but then Reevesy backed into him and went down off balance.

Here here. Not a game goes by just lately when all the conversation is about inadequate offiicials. They are ruining this league unfortunately.
We had to suffer another fkn clown in a black strip tonight, Couldnt/wouldnt control the game

The ref couldn't give but the Assistant had a clear view and in my opinion he bottled it. It was a clear penalty and it could have been deemed denying a goalscoring opportunity.

the officials are so bad they are predictable.

here's what i said on Monday (quote) ; surely a draw would be an acceptable result for both teams.....no disrespect towards anyone of course.....I guess the whole result  depends on wether the officials are having marital problems or something...

Officials will make mistakes and I have no beef with that as we apparently missed a raft of chances last night (no I wasn't there coz I am skint at the moment).....difference is, our players will stand up and admit those mistakes and lose their place in the team etc...., when will we hear a ref say "I got it wrong" or a 4th official come out and say something.......and just as when the team play badly we are entitled to criticise we are also entitled to slate the officials.

It is the blinkered protection that refs get and their holier than thou attitude that gets me....at our level week in week out games are decided by the officials but the dinosaurs who run the game think we as fans love to debate after the game why our team is still in the relegation zone instead of doing something about it.

Personally I didn't think the ref was that bad- from a technical point of view anyway. The only things he got wrong was a few errors in the decision making process- but he was very good at stamping out the little things that annoy us, like nicking the odd 10 yards for throws, ect. If he can just get the odd big decision right, then I would expect to see him further up the ladder in years to come

Cleaning fkn windows in Manchester ?  ;)

It was the liner who should have given it and the ref took a really good look at him following the appeal

No expect someone of ability :)

Makes me laugh when people at work moan about Premiership refs.. My answer is always imagine the cr*p we must get if they are the best.

I think ref's get a hard time of it with all the slow motion replays, angles and time spent on deciding if decisions are correct or not (yes you have read right Phil) but getting basic decisions wrong is inexcusable and can't be down to anything but being incapable.
