Looking Good!
« on: July 09, 2011, 05:33:11 PM »

Well it's difficult to judge when there's such a gulf in class but I was quite impressed from what I saw. Chadwick looks as if he could be an excellent partner for Reeves, skilled but also gives us a bit more strength up front, something we lacked last season. Richman and the new defenders looked decent, as did the striker from Wrexham (Gall?). Special mention too for Ryan Brown, was expecting him to be torn apart today but felt he gave a good account of himself...

Well anyway, it looks like we have the potential to do really well this season. Can't wait to watch the team again next week and see what they can do.

Well done to all the team today.

I think Richman played on the right in his Baynesish blue boots!

some very neat and tidy touches.  Drew defenders to create space.  he did well.

I liked the look of 15 today, but do not have a clue which one he is. I wish we could have had some sort of announcement of who was playing!

Also liked the number 9, number 7 and Ryan Brown played very well. Good result, good game, and nice friendly chat with two Burnley fans after the game in the bar.

Enjoyed myself this afternoon, looking good!

Watched via text updates as was working and was surprised at how well we did considering the team they put out (plenty of players even I recognise)

I know its not about results but getting fitness and looking at players but I believe we can take heart in a 4-2 defeat to such a good team.

Agree with the comment of trying to get this into out regular preseason friendlies list ... Book 'em now :) Hopefully they appreciated the good work out too at our well run club.

i would sign chadwick, jukes and jones after yesterday.we still have pre season however to determine who fits in where, as burnley were a tough opposition to judge the new players, great start though :)

think we'll need another keeper won't we!

I'd probably go with Chadwick, Jones and a keeper...would like to see a bit more of Gall though.

Don't really mind about Coates either way...we'll probably see a couple on Saturday with Coburn being on holiday.
