Speaking immediately after yesterday's game at Moss Lane, Crawley manager Steve Evans said, "We've absolutely torn them apart - in the first half we were exceptional and should have been three or four up. And in the second half we were always in command. It was as good a performance as against Histon. We should have won comfortably.
Altrincham are a decent side this year. But Graham Heathcote would agree that his side had taken a bit of doing over. But we wish Altrincham well. Like us, they are one of the smaller clubs".
"Pinault has never missed a penalty so we'd expect him to score. Calum Willock give us an extra dimension. I am very happy with the performance; we have dominated for ninety minutes and played some wonderful football and opened them up at will. Even in the second half we have got behind them four or five times but we didn't have the final product".
As for the sending off of Robbie Lawton, "It was a shocking tackle, a leg-breaking tackle. But the player sent off isn't that sort of player. He just misjudged it and led with his studs".
What a load of tosh. The only thing i agree with is that Lawtons challenge was shocking - as for leg breaking i have never seen a human being with legs in his stomach - at best it was a stomach rupturing challenge but certainly NOT leg breaking.
