What are your thoughts for the Barrow game.

Looks to me like the rails have come off a little with two heavy defeats but our league position is excellent and above where I expected to be.

We could do with getting back on Track again but I just feel we might have lost a little confidence and with Densmore still banned I can see a crazy formation again.

I hope we go back to the formation that won us so many games a few weeks back and we have a fit Robbie Lawton to play Midfield.

Not seen the games or goals but how did Ralph play, any his fault? Time for Coburn again or not? If no goals were his fault keep Ralph in.

Barrow 2 - 1 Alty

Ralph
Doughty
Mcgreggor
Young
Lane
Lawton
Danylyk
Elam
Senior
Little
Johnson

Getting hammered with 10 men is understandable. I think the players might as well write that out of the memory. So too the defeat at Crawley; they're a good side (although by all accounts we were under-par).

However, if we lose the next two I'm going to start getting worried again. I'll go for a draw Tuesday, stopping the rot will do for me. I'm hopeful Elam will play and be somewhere near his creative best.

You know what I was sat at working typing that I was thinking I am sure I have forgotten someone.

Smith was that man.

Take out Johnson and put Smith in midfield with Little Senior and Elam up front.

Glad you spotted that one.

Happy to oblige and would go along with that team but with a minor positional change. Smith in the back 3 (or 5) with McGregor and Young and Laney to right back/right mid-field which is pretty much a straight swap for Densmore.

Saturday was a bad day,

I would play 3 4 3 tomorrow with the follwing players

Coburn

Smith
McGregor
Young

Lane
Danylak
Peyton
Doughty

Little
Senior
Johnson

I dont think lawton will be fit but if he is he has to play we looked so disorganised on Saturday it was awful

Elam did less on Saturday than Johnson did in the last 15 - 20 I would therefore start with him,

Since we've been playing Johnson goals have dried up. Drop him and play Elam.

Didn't work Saturday.

yer damn skippy it didnt work saturday

when i have seen elam come off the bench he has scared defences but on saturday he had a stinker start to finish. it happens to everyone from time to time and its no reason to write him off.
when johnson came on he looked very good
some players simply do better as subs than starting

Four goals against in our last two matches & ok it was early in the season but
didn't Barrow put four past us at home when our defending was woeful. With
their FA Cup run,we will be up against a team brimming with confidence,
unlike us at the mo,so a draw may even be a big ask but that is what I'm
hoping for.A win would be a massive tonic before what I consider to be
another very difficult Trophy game against Southport on Sat.even though
we are at home.

Nothing against Ralphy but I would start with Stu for his commanding qualities in Robbies' absence because we looked so disorganised on Saturday. I'd also start with Meechan in midfield perhaps swapping for Peyton later on, sadly I can see a certain Mr.Logan causing us a lot of trouble so it's very important we keep a close eye on the lad. So in summary more or less the same team that won at FGR and if we stay focussed we could come away with a point, a 1-1 draw is my call. There's a feeling of uber confidence emanating from the Barrow forum to the extent of beating us 4-0 in front of our 22 fans!
