I'll start.....

The iconic number 9 shirt at Newcastle.  Im pretty sure that most clubs have a shirt with a "9" on it.  The whole thing is utter, utter bollocks.

Yes but the number 9 shirt at Moorlands Primary School had my name on it in the 4th year and no one is going to take that away from me.

Don't remember a Mrs Carroll but they were happy days. There was a special needs unit there, but we didn't interact with the staff there, although refreshingly the kids used our playground and were accepted and never in my experience made to feel different. Amazing for the 70's but perhaps it's because little kids don't know prejudice.

Leeds are a big club...no they're not. they are a club that historically overachieved.

one club in the city and they can't get 20k in midweek when challenging for a playoff spot.

Leeds always had the potential to be massive due to being a city, having a large population and not many major clubs on their doorstep.

but they are not

Mrs carroll started after you left, to be honest , didnt stop some local yobs chucking bricks at me one day  when i was walking past the temple wearing my school blazer. An early ointroduction to sale moor before i felt comfotable enough to drink in the leigh arms on a regular basis in a need to quech my holtsthirst

Perhaps you had to be a local in Sale Moor, The Temple wasn't great, but The Legh Arms was/is a cracking old fashioned working man's pub. We had a few problems one night walking up from Sale and our group were followed to the pub by a mob carrying sticks. We got into the vault and a couple of locals asked us what the problem was. They nipped out sharpish and returned minutes later carrying the arsenal of sticks and let us know there won't be a problem now.
