Great post about advertising. The idea of a large billboard as you describe is excellent. Would Tesco allow us to stand at the bottom of the escalators handing out leaflets? If so I would spend 2 hours in my Alty shirt if we tied it up with some promotion.

Imagine my shock when awaking from my slumbers. I saw the ' HALIBORANGE ' advert on GMTV . What strip was the child wearing ? Man Utd, City or Bolton....No it is Alty !

The moderator of their site needs sacking for a start and it seems to me we beat them fair and square without any crowd problems.
Apart from us living ' up north' can anyone tell me why they have taken such an instant dislike to us ?

No doubt we have a long campaign ahead of us and such youthful players may initially struggle to find their feet in the presence of gnarly old goats like Cambridge's Wayne Hatswell or experienced workhorses like Paul Carden... I'd much sooner watch the talents on display thus far than the kind of desperate football played with ageing journeymen that sides like Altrincham, Lewes, Southport and Stafford have put on in the past. This team can only get better and the players have undeniable talent".
