As Wayne says, it's important that people don't stop posting though, otherwise the loonies win. Just don't give crediblity to some of the nonsense that has been on here.

I work for a company that employs over 4000 people ......we have our own forum at work for discussing issues (work or out of work) and for many years it was a very useful and informative system open to everyone. In the last few years though it has got out of control and some of the stuff has become both bizarre and abusive.
In the end the company banned users who did not use their own name.........this did take a lot of fun out of it and obviously stopped some speaking their mind for fear of reprisals, however from the comapnies view it stopped trolling and the abuse and made people think carefully about what they put into print.

No problem with differing opinions providing people aren't to worried if someone with a differing opnion tells them they have a differing opinion. ;D
Loads of people don't agree with half the stuff I put. For example I don't think Robbie Lawton has looked out of place at right back. People I speak to think he has been gash!
The issue isn't with people opinions it's with stupid ill informed nonsense that usually ends in name calling that has dragged this place down.

Much as I hate the phrase it's giving them the 'oxygen of publicity'.
