My first thoughts were ---------- sh*t. And my second and third thoughts too!
Surely this is not as bad as it may seem at first.......is it?
Only time will tell. Let's see who comes in. We also already have a few players who can do the job upfront.
This may give someone the opportunity to come in who may not have thought about coming to Alty if we have a forward who scored 15 last term. Let the batle for the Alty forward places commence. Deffo think we need to hang on to Youngy & Denham.
Good Luck Chris Senior in future. Can't promise you wont get barracked by the home fans if you miss a sitter at Alty next season tho!

If there going for promotion straight back I doubt chris will be a first choice striker, they may be signing a few from football league

Very disappointed to see him leave, a great character as well as a goalscorer.
However, I suppose if we look back at last season it was scoring goals that was our problem, so as long as we can keep our defence intact, a new strikeforce could be just what we need.

I fear for Greg though, hope we can get him to stay.

Hopefully, anyone who wondered why there wasn't a fanfare Press Release a couple of weeks ago regarding players staying.......will now understand why!

Gutted does not cover it.
I can wish luck etc to players leaving who have not quite come up to BSP standard and can say glad to see the back of the crap lazy so and sos, but this is different.
I hope he never scores another goal and Darlo get relegated.
Yes I am totally p'd off by this.

I wish Chris all the luck in the world. He owes us nothing - always 100% in terms of effort and entertainment. But oh boy do we need Dale fit for the big kick off, and one top class, and one half decent striker to come in. Still not too concerned that we released McAliskey though - he wouldn't have been the answer.

Sat here playing with myself quite happily and then my world caves in. Really good bloke as well as excellent player.

But remember this folks :-

It is easy for a man to be happy
When the world rolls along like a song
But a mans worth while if he can smile
When everything goes f"*king wrong !

He might have been the answer ... but I wouldn't have a clue what the question was  ;)

Until Chris comes out with something to deserve words like mercenary or fecker (yeah I think that post was tongue in cheek at least i hope it was) I'd just like to wish him the best.....he has left at a good time in close season and we have plenty of time to get a replacement....he's been a good servant, scored some memorable goals and become a cult figure for his celebrations.

although maybe darlo have signed him to hold the fishing rod in the marble staircase's ornamental japanese pagaoda and fountain new gardens attraction?...every time I hear the nith eerth joke I will think of chris!

Sorry, but this is out of order as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure it's just the shock of him going that's prompted an outburst like that.
I can't believe you'll stand by that statement when you've calmed down a bit.
I'm gutted (and a little annoyed) that he's gone too but, as has been said elsewhere, it's his chance to play FT and perhaps double his money so who wouldn't do that in his position?
