Well whover posted we have an 11% chance got it almost right wrt the bookies.

By my reckoning there is an 8/1 chance of survival (not including the possibility of someone being thrown out)

2 games with 3 possible outcomes in each (home/away/draw)

3 x 3 = 9

Altrincham need to win. Halifax need to lose. Any other result in either game means relegation.
So of the 9 possible doubles only 1 means survival. Therefore the odds are 8/1

All things being equal though Baldrick, which clearly they're bloody not else we wouldn't be in this situatuion in the first place.

We are 11/8 to win at Weymouth, Stevenage are 3/1 to win at Halifax. That combined double is 9.5/1 and to be honest a 1 in almost 10 chance sounds generous.

I was tempted to have a bet on Stevenage. Peter Taylor could be sacked if they lose again. But i think i will leave that game alone.
