Praying for Val Owen adn Little to be fit
« on: November 09, 2007, 12:28:08 PM »

I am praying for Val and Little to be fit. We will need Val more than anyone to break up there attacks and we need Little so that we don't have to start with Joe. Also I hope we play Logan, because I think he could destroy them. I hope Graham doesn't give them too much respect and start with five midfielders or something stupid like Joe on the wing. Lets bloody attack them !!!!! attack attack attack

I agree with what you say about Val - he is a reliable defensive midfielder who makes crucial tackles, breaks down opposition attacks and sets us going forward. We always seem more solid with him in the side.
However, he has had a few injuries and is not getting any younger.
Is there anyone else in the squad who can do a similar defensive midfielder role if Val is not available (Peyton?). Could Rob Lawton be trained how to be a good tackler and become one? He's got a good engine and it would get hin in the centre of the pitch (not on the right wing).
