We must start jack and reeves from now on. Not into all this you need a tall striker, times have changed. Twiss hasn't scored a header, it's reeves who scores all the headers. Jack is too good to leave out in my eye's! Those two would score a hatful. I'd also like to see lynch play some games in centre mid with densmore! He impressed me when I saw him play there earlier in the season! Strong and determined!

I have previously posted about Sinnott but for me he is not the sort of manager we need. I don't like his tactics and he annoys me in the way he plays players out of position. Last home game when we won 4-1 we had clee on the wing hugging the line, as stated previously this is his position and it showed that day when he ripped the full back apart and created chances, however he goes back to playing Clee more central and carries on playing fat boy lazy Twiss, does not derseve his place and thats my opinion, we need centre mid sorting. Any update on Conners??? because thats the player we need !!!!  I know its early but we should be right up there as its a very very poor league in standard !!! If this continues then I would look at a new manager !!!

I have not been on the forum since Mondays game so I apologise if I repeat any similar thread. I am interested in what people think about the current team...?To be honest  I was disappointed with our performance on Monday, just my opinion.  A few things that I felt did not work was the lack of width, Clee is by far our most if not only influential/ flair player, we need him out wide, dragging two or even more players out there to open the middle up for the runs of Reeves. Clee could not get hold of the ball and when he did he tried to play wing play in the middle and often lost it which when out wide he rarely does, it may work against some teams but for the majority of games in this league I would play 4-4-2 or the trusted 5-3-2 wing back formation that has worked over the two previous seasons. Also from the games I have seen which is only 3 I feel we need more presence in centre mid and even though I have never rated Robbie as our most natural gifted player I would play him centre mid alongside Lynch, we need strength and ball winning players in there. I think Lynch looked good centre mid but then he kept being subbed and often we conceded goals when he had left the pitch.Our defence looks shaky and previously posted Flynn is our best defender who reads the game, I would tighten the defence up by putting Densmore at right back, his best position. Also Twiss has not been terrible and can hold the ball up now and again but times have changed where you do not always need a big and small front line. I know Astley is raw but he would score a hatful in this league, once he gets match fit and holds his runs a split second he would get behind defences so often. He can lose the ball but I feel thats him trying to impress the manager in the short period of time he comes on for. I believe Reeves and Astley would score a lot of goals, I am certain they would be our best strike force at present. My team with current players would be :

That was a great performance by the boys yesterday, we were a lot more direct, running with the ball, driving it forward which was good to see !!! I like the look of Flynn at the back, think he reads the game well and Lynch played well in centre mid yesterday. Still feel we could do with a tall strong centre mid and another wide player but they are not easily found anymore !!! I would like to see Astley Mulholland and Reevesy have a run out together against a so called lesser team, I reckon they would cause all sorts of problems with pace and movement!!! Onwards and upwards

First game for a long while, what a game !!! The fight in the team was unbelievable !!!

My first sighting of Conners and he blew me away, that is one hell of a centre mid !!!! has he been bit by the Alty bug I wonder, it was like war for him !!! the difference between his committment and Baynes is huge.

The boy Clee is a joy to watch, if he continues he will be up there with Showler and I never thought I;d say that about a winger !!!

Dale, people who know there footy will understand what I mean when I say he won't score many goals but will cause mayhem which will in turn create chances for us. Dale was also immense, his presence is huge and we need him starting every game, he won us a lot of set pieces and there should have been a lot more given !!!!

Finally the whole team showed the true Alty passion and I left disappointed because we deserve more but it was good to see !!!

It is a good read but I still don't accept the reasons why Graham and Ken thought it was right to release Dale. If everyone thinks back, before Dale got his bad injury he was one
, if not our most consistent player. It was a bad injury which took months to recover from. He only started a handful of games before he was released and in that time he scored and looked a good player still so we should have stuck by him. My only thought is that he lacked desire in training. The reason I found it hard to accept when he left was we have stood by some average players in the past and present an example of this is Beesley who has had many games and done nothing. Again everyone got excited about McCarthy but he was a waste of time again. I am made up with Dale's return and he will make the difference but people shouldn't expect miracles and a rook of goals, he needs the support of a good team behind him. Dale will shine with the likes of a fit Denham and Clee. Also it is shame for Sam Hewson, the boy has talent and is good at attacking from deep.Spoke to my bro and he speaks very highly of Conners, I'm excited about seeing him, centre mid is vital in this or any other league, is there any possibility of signing him
