Weymouth Match Thread
« on: May 13, 2021, 09:32:39 AM »

Assumming everyone listed is fit (which is a big assumption)

                       Gould

Senor    Malarkey    Hannigan    Hampson

              Smith        Moult

                     Hardy

   Kosylo   Hancock   Colclough

Keep our shape and discipline at the back and give the front 4 a free role.

Weymouth 0-2 Alty (Hardy, Colclough)

Who knows what team we'll put out, more trials no doubt for next season.

RR for me.

Who's the Spaniard you've picked at right back ?

Joking apart, I doubt we'll see Gould again.

I doubt we'll see Gould again.

We've not seen that much of him anyway.
Actually, he's not been given much of a chance really, has he?

Hoping all fit... Thompson will probably start but would like to see Gould given couple of games...

                            Gould
Senior   Mullarkey   Hannigan   Hampson
              Smith   Moult   Kirby
          Kosylo   Hancock   Colclough

Subs- Sutton, Richman, Hardy, Ceesay, Peers

Score prediction...

Weymouth 1-2 ALTY (Colclough, Hancock)

Due to nothing being at stake other than pride for both teams, I expect it will play out to a 0-0 draw, with the sights for both clubs now firmly set on the planning for next season.

Onwards & Upwards.

Just seen the team news on BBC. Three defenders? Can't be right can it?
If it is, another long afternoon beckons (unless it's a strategic masterstroke) 😉

I would expect Moult to be playing alongside Mullarkey in central defence.

Hmmm... Seems to be what's planned.
Let's hope it IS a tactical masterstroke then! 🙄 🤞

I'm sick and tired of seeing us pass the ball backwards.

Would bring on Hancock for Bell and Kysolo for Williams.

I was thrilled when we could get hold of the ball to pass it anywhere. Good start then faded away. Hook Bell and put Hanks on. We don't want to get too used to losing games.

Better performance today; great to see Kos back.

The only difference is they had a class forward, we didn't.

Bell is not the answer one or two on here believe!

I thought that we were unlucky in the second half, as we were clearly the better team. Obviously, the 11 in the 2nd half was more like the one we'd all like to see - only Hampson and Hannigan missing. We missed Hannigan massively, but that was much better today.

Just need a top quality no 9, a commanding centre back and a better calibre of squad player. A defeat, but some grounds for optimism.
