Can you tape Setanta from VIrin media or does it get scrambled?

Yes you can tape it. I usually save programmes on the hard drive then transfer them to DVD later.

With my set up via Sky Digital +  i cannot.

Reason is...I have two sky cards for two separate boxes. (two watch things at same time).
One of the cards has Sky sports on along with other pay channels & that is paired to my
Sky HD box (also +) so i can record to the hard drive.

However, my setanta sky card only has Setanta plus the FREE to view channels & when i tried to put this
in my sky hd box it won't record but i can watch setanta.

So it looks like a straight record from my bog standard sky box (setanta card) directly to a DVD
recorder.

I managed to record the Stevenage through sky digital with no problems. Dont think that helps Ecky though!

Sky digital + will work if you have Setanta & Sky Sports on the same card.

Just that i went down my route so i could watch both Setanta & Sky at the same time on 2
different tv's

But as you say, doesn't help with the Virgin question.
