This is the link from the league itself. Most clubs in National South actually wanted to carry on, but were outvoted by the National North teams. It was 13-7 in our division which was a bit closer than I had expected, and also means there will be no relegation this season.

Does Jordan want to come on loan to keep fit until August

Dudley and Haughton from Chester would be beneficial

Are loans actually possible in the circumstances ?I know Haughton is good but we already have a number of qulaity wide palyers
-
There still will be teams in the National who don't or carn't play on, like Dover.
Now that there is no relegation, I wonder how the league will deal with the issue?
Other clubs may look to cut costs, furlough players and coaching staff.

I’ll go and pick him up if he does.
-
As I have said before, the ones who don't want to continue should have all results expunged then play off for which one goes down to bring the league back to an even number of teams. The other 16 teams carry on. The season would be less onerous as it would be a 30 match season. We'd still have about 15 games to play after the games vs matches played against expungees were crossed off.
-
I assume that only one team will now be relegated from League 2.
-
Think that's all up in the air. There's only 21 in the NLS so one could go down the all three national leagues would have 22 teams with the two promotion teams replacing the bottom two FL clubs.
-
I assume that only one team will now be relegated from League 2.
Fairest solution would be a playoff playoff spot for the top of the North and South.
Winner takes the spot in Conference.
PPG over two seasons gives four side from Evo Stik level, 2 finals and promote to fill gaps AT North and South

Yes, I would agree with something like that, without being definite on the details, It also gives more opportunities for clubs further down the pyramid to fill the gaps higher up.
It has worked out well for us, and more so for the likes of King's Lynn and Weymouth who were facing possible relegation after being promoted, but I surprisingly find myself feeling sorry for AFC Fylde who were relegated into an "elite" league which was set to continue, then gets aborted when they have a fair chance of coming straight back.
-
I guess there will be no relegation from The National league and justb1 relegation from Lg2
As for players loaned from National north, especially mega bucks Hulme - we will have less income and they might be furloughed. I think that is a no goer as desirable a prospect as it might be.
-
My initial suggestion of Hulme joining us to keep fit was somewhat tongue in cheek at the situation some of the players at step 2 clubs are now in. I should have added some rolling eyes.
But yes furlough rules / loan rules will apply
-
I'm not sure it's done and dusted yet. The Gloucester owner was making noises about legal action and I wouldn't be suprised if Fylde and one or two others didn't join in.
It's a sorry state of affairs. i hope everyone is still around to start again in August.
Goodness knows where it leaves Bury and Macc.
-
I think bury and macc would be starting below the conf north anyway probably north prem or even lower. The consequences of the decision are all over the place, any on loan players in the north and south now become available. There isnt anywhere to send our players if we want to loan someone out. Additionally if we end a contract for a player we are effectively leaving them without a team for a long time.

If this happens there could still be relegation from our league. Hopefully, it will persuade the like of Dover to field a proper team rather than a scratch squad.

But we're still not allowed to mention vaccines/Covid on here because it obviously has no bearing whatsoever on National League football 2020-21. At least for some of the "London" Alty supporters (and I do value your contribution to this great club, I just don't agree with you on trying to gag people like this).
Oh and I see Chester voted against continuing. At least they've learnt something from their history, I suppose. Too bad they didn't listen to Barrow fans when it mattered. And I should think York won't take kindly to being denied a chance of promotion.
It would be nice to know for certain if any players who were playing at step 2 clubs will become available and in what circumstances, and if the step 2 leagues will definitely bot be decided on ppg - and if so, what the cutoff is for ppg to be applied.
